New Realism III: Pakayla Biehn
Paykala (1986, EE.UU.) was born with a serious strabismus that cause her double vision. She tries to reflect her reality in her paints, getting this double exposure series. She's one of the Thinkspace Gallery's artist displaying this month in L.A. next to Linnea Strid, Jennifer Nehrbass, Aaron Nagel, Nathan DeYoung y Jeff Ramírez.

Kwon Kyung Yup's girls are always surrounded by a white light that make them so perfect it's unreal. They seem fragile, inmature, not ready for this world. Their bandages are not only for wounds, but a way to protect themself from reality.
